Sign Guidelines
Is asking people to sign a petition a violation of Yahoo!’s Community Guidelines?
Many people post “questions” or “answers” that are really requests to sign a petition. Is this allowed? I read the Community Guidelines and it didn’t address this directly.

I didn’t realize that that was the purpose of some questions. It seems like it would be a violation of community guidelines as you aren’t supposed to advertise in your post. Getting people to sign a petition would be a form of advertising.
